Historic Drafts

Fall started as a serpentine draft — ten captains, conferences, contracts, a cap, and a free-agent wire. It later went BYOT, came back as a draft, and is BYOT again. Draft results are the picks we still have. 2017 and 2019 opening clubs are who played after the draft when the pick sheet did not survive.

Pre-draft report

2017 Fall Draft Board

The original sheet was A–Z, not a ranking. Badges are the 2017 Fall draft tags (line b.). They show on a player card as Draft League Badges when that name has any.

When I saw Ben play for the first time this summer I could immediately see the skill and experience — inside or outside. Coming off a disappointing A season bringing outside talent in. Led A in 3PM and won Sharpshooter; won B MVP and showed up big in the semis vs Irish Green. Making his Blendos debut. From what I’ve heard he is a 6'4 big still in HS.

Rich RossP-1179

First Blendos experience outside co-ed. Previously player of the year at Wells College. Dedicated — traveling from Wells.

Rob ScianimanicoP-1190

The infamous Hook Shot Rob. Veteran, consistent captain. Has led the leagues in rebounding multiple times and likes to play the entire game. Will most likely only draft seven so everyone gets minutes. Back in the gym.

Has taken a hiatus. One of the bigger guys but don’t mistake that for slow — crafty getting to the basket and can heat up from long range.

Steve GuntherP-1301

Multiple seasons, limited basketball experience besides Blendos. Great team player. Needs conditioning. Great low-post moves. Coachable. Doesn’t care whose team — wants to win and contribute.

Rising senior at Sidney. Great kid and a good ball player. 6'3, long, plays the guard. Gets to the rim well and can pull up when the defender gives him space. Great IQ and leadership.
