Preview · Fall 2026 · Week 4
Week 4: What to watch
Sunday, September 27, 2026 · Hartwick College · Lambros Arena · 9 games · 11:00–7:00
Eight of thirteen clubs make the playoffs. First round is October 11 at the Armory. Semis and the title are October 18 back here. Tomorrow is the first Sunday a result can actually move a seed. Green plays twice. Navy plays twice. Job Corps plays twice. Sand and Grey play each other, then both play again.
11:00
The first win of the fall is in this game
Poolbrook Operations (Grey)vsPoolbrook Contracting (Sand)
Grey is 0–4. Sand is 0–3. One of them leaves with a win, or both stay on the wrong side of an eight-team cut. This is the opener because it is the only game where a first win is guaranteed to change a club.
Grey’s last two sheets were 23 against Green and 22 against Maroon. Halftime against Maroon was 6–56. Sand’s last one was 43–76 against Green. Neither club has a counted win. The loser of this one is playing from a hole the rest of the day.
Watch. Grey: Jacob Hendrich (11 last week), Tony Hendrich on the glass, Andrew Hausmann, who went 3-of-26 against Green and then 5 against Maroon. Sand: Malachi Ritter (16-5-1) and Jesse Chase (11-10-3). If Sand’s boards travel, Grey’s turnover problem from the 38-giveaway night is the story again.
12:00
Orange needs a clean sheet. Grey might be on a back-to-back.
OrangevsPoolbrook Operations (Grey)
Orange is 1–3. A win here is how a club with a minus-69 differential stays in the playoff math. A loss, and the cut starts to close on them. Grey plays this an hour after Sand.
Orange’s Sunday was a doubleheader and two losses: Lime 68–39, then Navy 77–34. Against Navy, Orange had 1 assist as a team. Grey has not been close. The 12:00 is the first time all fall Orange is not the one playing twice.
Watch. Amun Zo scored in both Orange losses (10, then 11). Alex Little had 12 boards against Lime. James Baker is two games into a debut (9-and-5, then 7-and-10). If Orange’s assist number stays at 1, Grey can win a game they have not looked ready to win.
1:00
The 4–0 club against the best 2–2 differential
M McCoy Construction (Green)vsHitchcock Contracting (Lime)
Green is 4–0, plus-120, and has not been in a game. Lime is 2–2 and plus-84 — the best point differential in the pack that is fighting for a seed, not a title. This is the first Sunday a result can knock an unbeaten club off the top line of the middle.
Green’s doubleheader was 76–43 over Sand and 103–23 over Grey. Lime’s 118-point explosion was Week 2. Week 3 was the grown-up win: 68–39 over Orange, halftime 27–12. Different games. Same question. Can anybody make Green play a half?
Watch. Zyeir Lawrence went 33 then 41. Ryan Ashline’s second game was the book: 15-25-18-17-5, the steal record, a quadruple-double, and a 5x5. Lime’s answers are Kyle Greiner (24 on 9-of-13) and Mitch Barra (18, 7-of-7). Jesse James had 12 boards. If Lime’s defense from the Orange game shows up, this is the game of the early card.
2:00
Job Corps just took Pink to one. Green plays again.
M McCoy Construction (Green)vsOneonta Job Corps Academy (Military Green)
Green’s second game. Job Corps is 1–3 and just proved they can live in a one-possession game with a 5–1 club. A win does not make them a title team. It keeps them in the eight.
Pink 60, Job Corps 59. Halves 27–26 and 33–33. The model had Pink 94–43. The gym did not. Green will be an hour off the Lime game. That is the only reason this is not a schedule mismatch on paper.
Watch. Josiah Sutton scored 15. James Bunton posted 10-13-5. Naz Everson posted 10-11-2. Two double-doubles against Pink. Green’s glass last week was 50 boards against Sand and 66 against Grey, with Rob Scianimanico at 11 and then 14. If Bunton and Everson split that glass, Job Corps is in it.
3:00
Jade’s chance at a two-win week
JadevsOneonta Job Corps Academy (Military Green)
Jade is 1–4. This is the second look at a week that ends 2–4 instead of 1–5. Job Corps is playing its second game. Both clubs can score. Neither is safe.
Jade’s first win was 86–56 over Yellow. The first half was 35–33. Then they walked into Team Blendos and put up 100 in a 121–100 loss. Connor Van der Sommen’s line in that loss was 43-12-6. Job Corps walks in off the Pink game, whatever the 2:00 did to their legs.
Watch. Dylan Jaklitsch had 14 assists in the Yellow win and is at 11.4 a night for the fall. Kevin Kurkowski scored 27 in the win. Jonathan Codrington went 14-9-3, then 19-11 against Blendos. On the other side, Sutton, Bunton, and Everson are the same three who hung 59 on Pink. If Jaklitsch is finding Van der Sommen, Jade gets the second win.
4:00
Maroon’s 100-point night, Sand’s second chance
Poolbrook Contracting (Sand)vsCam's Printing Services (Maroon)
Maroon is 3–1, plus-74, and already owns the upset of the fall: 59–58 over Pink. Sand is 0–3 unless the 11:00 flipped it. A Maroon win keeps a 3–1 club on the right side of the cut. A Sand win is the result that rearranges the bottom.
Maroon put 103 on Grey. Halftime 56–6. Eight players scored. Thirty-three assists. Twenty-one steals. Sand’s last box was 43 against Green, with Ritter and Chase doing most of the damage. Sand may already have played Grey. Legs matter. Maroon is fresh.
Watch. Evan Lane is at 16.0 rebounds a night and went 14-17-5 against Grey. Tahmir Williams-Randall 18-6-5. Mike Baffour 18. George Sheley 13-5-6. Linton Wainright 12-5-6 with 5 steals. Sand does not have a counter to that many creators unless Chase controls the glass the way he did (11-10-3) against Green.
5:00
Navy’s first look at a title-board club
NavyvsBlend Or Get Blended (Black)
Navy is 2–2, minus-10. Black is 3–1, plus-54, 11% to win the title. This is the game that tells you whether Navy is a playoff team or a club that beat the bottom of the card. Black needs it to stay ahead of the 2–2 pack.
Navy’s counted win last week was 77–34 over Orange: 24 assists, 16 steals, Orange with 1 assist. Black’s last game was the one the fall had been pointing at. They scored 107 and lost 125–107 to Team Blendos. They did not fold.
Watch. Trevor Huntsman 23-7-10. Tyler Harris 20-4-5. Alex Woeppel 18-11-4. Kaiden Legree 12 and 4 steals. Black: Kaden Gonzalez 35 on 14-of-20 and 7-of-11 from three. Jacob Jerome 22. Connor Mannix 20-10-2. Jai Clayton 14-8-2. Deion Mitchell-Murray did not dress against Blendos. If he is back, the 5:00 is a different game. Navy plays again at 6:00 either way.
6:00
The unbeaten club, against a Navy team that just played
NavyvsTeam Blendos (Ash Grey)
Team Blendos is 6–0, plus-158, 30% to win it. Nobody else is close on wins. This is still the first time a 2–2 club that can pass and steal walks in an hour after playing Black. A Blendos win keeps the board boring. A Navy win is the result that moves a seed.
Last Sunday Blendos beat Jade 121–100 and Black 125–107. Combined 221, then 232. Five players in double figures in the Black game and 57 boards. Nate Cohen went 44, then 30 — 74 on the day, 223 for the fall, 37.2 a night. Navy’s 77 against Orange is not that. The question is whether the 6:00 Navy is the same Navy as the 5:00 Navy.
Watch. Cohen’s next 30-ball. Hobson Herlihy’s triple-double last week was 23-14-10, after 22-14-8 against Jade. Brady Smith 27-15-3. Cam LaClair 23-8-5. Cam Hayes 18-8-3. Navy’s creator is Huntsman. If he has a second 10-assist night in him after Black, this stays a game. If Cohen is getting the same looks he got at 12:00 and 1:00 last week, it will not.
7:00
Pink has won two Sundays by one. Yellow has not won.
PinkvsYellow
Pink is 5–1 and plus-234, the best differential in the league, with a 20% title number. Their only loss is 59–58 to Maroon. Yellow is 0–4, minus-90. On the seed list this is a mismatch. Pink’s last two wins say do not treat it like one.
Week 2 was the one-point loss. Week 3 was Pink 60, Job Corps 59. Halves 27–26 and 33–33. The model wanted 94–43. Yellow’s last game was a 35–33 first half against Jade, then a 51–23 second half the other way. They can hang for 20 minutes. They have not closed.
Watch. Jordan Gutierrez had 10 points and 21 boards against Job Corps and has 148 for the fall. Stevie Melendez’s quadruple-double is still the Week 2 line; last week he was 15-5-2. Jo Annan 10-5-5. Yellow: Shea Barber 20, Ray Williams 16, Preston Winters 11-9 with 6 steals. If Winters is in the passing lanes and Barber is scoring, Pink has to earn the seventh win. They have not been blowing teams out for two weeks.
The names carrying the numbers
Nate Cohen leads the league at 37.2 a night, 223 total. Jordan Gutierrez has 148. Zyeir Lawrence is at 31.7. Evan Lane is at 16.0 rebounds. Dylan Jaklitsch is at 11.4 assists. Ryan Ashline walks in a week after 17 steals. The old mark was 11.
Records through September 20. Title odds on the live board: Blendos 30, Pink 20, Green 14, Black 11. They move when the boxes post.
